Our ECO Team  for 2023 2024 has been elected and are ready to carry on the work started last year. We are hoping to look at biodiversity in our school this year and have been busy already making bird feeders in P6 to sustain the birds throughout the Autumn.

We were also proud recipients of an NI Water water butt for our playground last year and have been making good use of it to water our plants. This will also be very useful when we plant out spring bulbs in the coming weeks.

We have reduced our energy consumption and increased our recycling to include the ‘brown bin waste’ in each classroom meaning that we have one less bin going to land fill each week.

We have also moved to a more paperless method of communication between home and school. We are now sharing important announcements and weekly newsletters via the Seesaw learning platform.

Our outdoor environment is being used as an extended classroom by all classes for outdoor learning and Foundation stage are making good use of wellies and puddle suits to enjoy outdoor learning all year round.

YOU COULD HELP BY OFFERING YOUR EXPERTISE COMING ALONG TO ONE OF OUR BIG DIGS OR DONATING SOME OLD MATERIALS FOR UP-CYCLING.

If you would like to make a suggestion or offer some help please email rpreshur949@c2knet or phone the office on 02892663773.
