Doctor Day in P5
19th Nov 2014
Pupils in P5 had a special day on 19th November as part of their topic on the body.
The classroom was transformed in Largymore Hospital Surgery Wing and the all who entered the room had to become doctors, complete with mask and surgical hats.
Throughout the day pupils carried out a range of tasks related to the body or being a doctor. They gathered patient's details by measuring different limbs, reconstructed the internal organs of a patient so that they were all placed correctly, and they carried out contraction surgery in which they surgically removed letters from words in order to join the two words with an apostrophe.
We all agreed it was a very fun day that we won't forget any time soon!
