Egyptian Linen in Lisburn
18th Mar 2015
Year 5 visited the Lisburn Linen Museum and discovered that the Egyptians were early users of linen. They used linen to make their clothes, but also used it to wrap the bodies of the Pharaohs when they were mummified.
We saw a piece of linen at the museum that came all the way from the tomb of Tutankhamun in Egypt.
